Please note: The ANZCAP Foundation Program has closed for new applications in Australia. The program remains open to pharmacists from New Zealand with access to the ANZCAP platform, until 31 August 2024.

In Australia, the Foundation Program has seen broad uptake and we have determined it is at capacity given the time required to assess applications before 30 June 2024. Australian practitioners who have begun preparing their submission are able to request access via the ANZCAP platform, subject to conditions.

Are you fully recognised for what you contribute?

Is your unique experience and expertise appreciated and supported?

Do you want to showcase your accomplishments as you advance in your career?

ANZCAP is here to support you.

ANZCAP is a landmark program recognising career progression and specialty skills, enabling pharmacists and technicians from all practice settings to be recognised for their experience and expertise.

ANZCAP’s recognition program enables the achievements of practitioners to be clearly and concisely understood by their employers and peers, and by healthcare colleagues.

ANZCAP supports pharmacists and technicians working in Australia and New Zealand to track and plan their career toward Resident Pharmacist, Registrar Pharmacist and Consultant Pharmacist (Fellow) recognition, conferring certification and use of ANZCAP post-nominals: ANZCAP-Res., ANZCAP-Reg., and FANZCAP. View guidelines on the use of ANZCAP post-nominals.

ANZCAP offers two programs through which pharmacists and technicians can achieve recognition.

Now closed in Australia, and available until 31 August 2024 in New Zealand, the initial Foundation Program acknowledges prior professional experience.

The Independent Program is available to Australian pharmacists across all practice settings to accumulate Learning Experiences (LXs) into a personal practice portfolio to meet requirements mapped to the National Competency Framework for Pharmacists in Australia (2016).

Custom portfolios are now available for anyone to create and share a portfolio of professional achievements with external parties.

Later in 2024, the Independent Program will be available to New Zealand registered pharmacists, alongside Training Programs to fast-track recognition progress over two years and recognition for Pharmacy Technicians.
